Title: What wires to get?

I haven't decided what wires I need to get for my Dual PSX digital controller arcade stick hack.

On this site it says to use 18AWG wires for Ground and power and to use 22-28AWG wires for the buttons/everything else.

Other sites I've been looking at only request for 20-22AWG wires.
What should I get? Yea this is my first arcade rig. Does it really matter that much? I was planing on getting both 18AWG wires and 22AWG wires at radioshack, but if I don't need the 18AWG, I can save the extra $7 bucks and just get the 22AWG wires for ground and the buttons.

If all you are doin is hacking a pad, you only need the thinner wire (22-28)...
There are no power specific wires involved in hacking a pad... (Just with LEDs & the like...)

I use 24AWG 7 strand stuff & love it. (I got a HUGE spool (8000ft) off ebay... Everything I wire for the next 10 years will have red wire... LOL!)
