Post by: RedSquirrel on October 13, 2003, 09:25:07 am
How is this done? I have my mobo ready to hook up, but due to it not having a case i am not sure how to wire a power button upto it. Or does it even need one?

I pressume i need to attach some wires to the mobo?

Any advice? thanks..

Your mb manual will show where the power on button connects.  This can be replaced with any momentary push button to turn on your computer.   Alternately you can set your mb bios to turn on from a kb keypress or automatically after power failure.  This has been discussed before in this forum.

The above info relates to newer MBs with and ATX supply.   Older MBs do not have the power on button and are turned on by power to the power supply.
