I just hooked up my 256gb Samsung 830 series SSD, and for some reason, my PC is only recognizing it as a 128gb drive. The only thng that I can think of is that the SSD supports up to 6 gb/sec SATA 3, and my 4 year old board only supports up to 3 gb/sec SATA 2. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Does the label on the drive actually say 256Gb? that series does have a 128GB model just make sure they didnt ship you the wrong part.
Check disk management to see if it partitioned off. I would also make sure that the BIOS on your Motherboard is current and see what size it shows in the BIOS.
