So half the time, I'll go to all the trouble of typing out a nice long post asking some detailed questions, and I'll hit the button to submit, and it takes me to a page where it says I'm not logged in. Trouble is...I WAS LOGGED IN!!! When this happens, I lose my entire post!!! I just spent 20 minutes writing up a post with a bunch of questions, and I lost the whole damn thing for no reason. I can't even explain how irritating that is.

That's wei...

That does suck. I use the "keep me logged in" option when I sign in, and it never kicks me out. Perhaps it is a browser issue?
I've had it happen before on other forums and for other reasons though- If I was smart I would type up long posts in a google .doc that is constantly saving (or just notepad) and then copy/paste but I rarely have that kind of forethought.

I know it's not a true "fix", but before you click "Post" on an epic, use Control+A (select all) and Control+C (copy) to copy your post to the clipboard.
I also use the "Preview" button to check layout, links, picture sizes, last second replies by others, etc. As a bonus, I think it refreshes your logged in status -- I haven't had the problem you describe since i started using "Preview" regularly.

Now that's just old school funny...
Well I'm now just copying to the clipboard, and that'll make sure I don't lose anything major again. I haven't tried the "keep me logged in" thing, but I will for sure. Thanks for the help!

Try this. I always use "Keep me logged in" and never had any problems.

Ed - the only censoring that occurs here is 1) bad language (and it's replaced with other words, and you can choose to view the uncensored version if you want in your profile) and 2) illegal activity (links ROM sites for instance).
What specifically are you referring to? Perhaps instead of telling us we're heading towards a trash can, you could point out what the problem might be?
