Title: AMD A8-3850 Llano 2.9GHz Bundle w/ 8GB and mobo $137 AR- Anyone have one?
Post by: tommyinajar on October 19, 2012, 04:58:25 am
I couldn't resist. I'm wondering if it will play CHDs (Blitz, Gauntlet) ay 100%, but at that price I couldn't pass it up. If nothing else I've got a good HTPC setup started.

Not a chance it will play those games, but it is a good deal.

I searched before and didn't see anything but with just "Llano" seems like someone had success with a AMD A6-3670K and Blitz/Gauntlet/SF rush (The Holy grails of CHD's  :lol)
...guess I dunno until I try it.

That seems like a pretty nice deal. I may pick this one up for my bartop ;)

Yes great price. I've got a storage rack full of p2-p3's in the basement. I was going to use them in some empty cabs I have, but with the price of new mobo's and cpu's, I don't think it is worth the bother to use outdated components except for the most basic of Mame setups. Reducing the frustration of the setup time with a pokey computer is almost priceless to me :)
