Anyone know how to save the flash game to play offline? Stand alone?
Thanks in advance!

RidicRick25 on KLOV has built his own dedicated cabinet and repro'd the art. Build thread on HS Forums here (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?19263-Wreck-It-Ralph-%28Fix-It-Felix-Jr%29-cab-project).
There are other threads on the topic here (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=240822), here (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=252447), here (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=242633), and here (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=252797).
Someone mentioned in one of those threads that there is a downloadable (and better) version for iPad on iTunes. Haven't seen if anyone has a ripped flash version--numerous technical hurdles put up by Disney to prevent it.

Yes thanks i have seen that build. He did a great job.
Don't have any apple products. So that's not gonna help me any.
But thank you!

I bet Disney will never release the Arcade Version that's in the cabinet.
I remember before TRON LEGACY was released, They made a SPACE PARANOIDS arcade machine.
And they had a online flash version too. The Arcade one far as i know has never been released.

Post #171 (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?19263-Wreck-It-Ralph-%28Fix-It-Felix-Jr%29-cab-project/page18) in the build thread threads also quoted a June 25th Disney press release about some movie-related console releases and crossovers.

I also read that. The console release is only on the Wii. It's supposed to be a side scroller game.
Hopefully someone will get ahold of the Arcade version somehow?
Or at least make a playable PC version out of the Apple version
Or fix the flash at least!
Let's face it not many Classic Arcade Type games are made these days.
Would be nice to have.

Yeah, there are... in the indie game scene. You just have to look a little past the mainstream stuff.

Heh, I was gonna say, that thread is a good place to start. A lot of it depends on what you define as "CLASSIC ARCADE TYPE" games, but if you define it as short bursts of compelling gameplay, I would suggest:
Super Crate Box
Luftrauser
Super Meat Boy
They Came From Verminest
Chompy Chomp Chomp (XBLIG- actually kind of like Pac Man Battle Royale)
radiangames Crossfire 2
Super Hexagon
VVVVVV (actually a homage to C64 games, but still action-y)
Probability 0
And, if you happen to be a fan of Robotron or Smash TV, one out of every three indie games is a twin stick shooter.

I knew of Console Home Brew Games. Colecovision, Atari 2600 etc.
But never heard of Coin Op Style Home Brew?
What's it run on Mame ????

No, I guess these are just modern games that "feel" like arcade games in their design. For instance, "They came from Verminest" could have easily been a lost entry in the galaga series. MAME won't play any of them, but many could be launched through a front end, and might play on cab controls depending on how they were designed and how much work you want to put into it. I am trying to homebrew a couple "ripped from history" type coin op games (that will still just be windows .exe files in the end, no PCB or anything), but at the rate I am going it will be several years before I am done! ;D

The game they put in the cabinet is different than the flash game. I found the flash game waaaay to easy. If the arcade version ever leaks, it seems to be an .exe kind of thing. I happened to catch the boot at 1 up in Denver yesterday.

Coool. I may check this out. Did Disney license the cab from Nintendo?
-
Is there a list on the net as to where these real cabinets have been distributed?
-
All I've seen is that is was at the E3 this year.
-
I just want it in my cabinet is all i know!
I think it's a great Classic Style Game.
It would be a same if the version in the Arcade Cabinet never see the light of day.
-
Has anyone got the artwork yet? The thread on Hyperspin stated he was going to share for a limited time and that was posted months ago.
-
RidicRick25 from KLOV repro'd the art and posted how to get it here (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=245581&highlight=felix).
Scott
-
I read that but he said he was sharing it for a few days only and that was back in May. I was going to pm him but I don't have that privilege yet on KLOV.
-
He is still sharing it.
-
Cool glad to know, with the quality of his work you would think it was one of the Disney machines.

I bet his is better. The Disney machine had crappy sticky buttons, no physical restriction on the 4 way, crappy display ergonomics with an odd aspect ration, and software scan lines that were the wrong way for a tate/vertical display. I had to crouch down to play the thing.
This is me standing up:

This is how I found it when I got there:

You should have ripped the back off. Reached in and grabbed the Hard Drive. :)

Haha! No ill towards 1up or any other arcade hosting one of these machines, but is it wrong that I am hoping that someone does break into one of these, clone the drive, then leak it on the net? The crowbar marks left on the cab would only add to the authentic old arcade machine look they were going for. >:D >:D >:D

Your Damn right! Me and You are on the same page bro. Somebody better do something before Disney puts them in their Vault Forever!
I'm guessing that version in the machine, Will never see the light of day otherwise.
-
There may be hope! Maybe something can be ripped or made from this?

Bonus Mode: Play the never-before-seen 8 bit Fix-It-Felix Jr. arcade game that provided inspiration for the entire movie!

when the ROM or whatever it is will run in MAME or Plain DOS or Windows, That will be the DAY I will upgrade my Mame System.
Mame Config Now:
DOS v7.0
Advmame 106
Advmenu with custom Menu
2 WG 19" CGA Monitors
Pc: Dual Core 3ghz
ArcadeVGA, AGP version (First/Second ver.)
Thinking about this Game is definitely not DOS so, it will COST me a Bundle to upgrade (if this Game ever makes it to MAME).
-
I'm thinking it's .exe
-
Most arcade games released these days run on standard PC hardware. I mean...why reinvent the wheel? You just need to have specialized boards for input/lamps. Plus, a USB dongle to ensure that it's not pirated.
That's what this appears to be. It boots instantly after the BIOS screen, directly to the game.
Quite cool. And, I'll be watching to see what comes of it.
-
Got the Wii game today. Got a feeling most people won't like it, I didn't at first. But after playing it awhile it grew on me.
No sign of FIX IT FELIX JR. yet. But you collect easter eggs, So maybe that will unlock it later?
I would compare this game to SUPER MARIO BROS.
I just hoping FIX IT FELIX JR. is in the game somewhere?
Or im gonna be pissed!
-
saw one of these in Disney world. in Hollywood studios. too many people around to study it. I took some pics, but did not get a chance to play. I played it on the ipad... it would be pretty cool to get a rom of this. seems like it should have existed in the 80's sitting right next to a DK cab.
-
Just saw the movie and loved it although I was the only one in the audience (late night small town, mostly twenty somethings and teenagers) that laughed (out loud I might add) at the up up down down left right left right b a start reference.
If this gets as popular as I think it might based on how kick ass this movie was, I doubt our community gets access to the game anytime soon.

Just got back from the last showing of the day. Absolutely loved it! The crowd, around the same age was laughing the whole way through. Perfect voice actor for King Candy, I want to go see it again and I want to play a real version of wreck-it-ralph.

Anyone out there getting any closer to obtaining this game?
It's supposed to be on the Wii version.
But it's not there. Unless maybe you enter a code or unlock it somehow?
-
Well here is who made the game!
Should we contact them??

That is a fantastic idea. I would contact them but I am assuming that one of the people from this forum would have better luck explaining what is needed for it and know the lingo much better.
I wonder if someone hasn't already tried and didn't share the experience. I want this game so bad....and for new games to come out in the same theme of old 80's arcade games

Yeah buddy. I want it bad too! I can just see it running in one of my cabinets. (Donkey Kong) :)

This must be a conversion kit:
;)

That is pretty cool ! Where did you see that?
I wish they would spend more time actually releasing FIX IT FELIX JR.
-
There is now a ANDROID Wreck-it-Ralph / Fix it Felix Jr. App!
I have it installed on my Kindle.
Glad it's now playable on something besides that crappy web browser version and that Damn iphone.
