Hey all, sorry to make this a new topic if its old news.
I'm using Mame 0.83 and the MAME32 GUI launcher. it works great when im using it on its own, but when I point Mala to the Mame32 executable none of the settings i have saved are switched over resulting in choppy video/sound/small resolution etc.
When I am in mala and try to click the 'config' button for my version of MAME, mala ends up crashing.
Is there a way i can pick the right MAME INI so mala uses it when I launch mame roms? Or am i pointing mala to the wrong executable?
All my roms seem to work with my mame .83 and not the new and shiny MAMEUIFX I downloaded.
what is entailed in changing roms to a newer version of mame?

Put a more recent MAME version in the same directory as the .83 (if they both have the same name, rename one of them) , and navigate to and select it. Click 'NO' when it asks you about xml. Then manually alter the directory entry in the box to the name of your .83 executable.
