Hi all
Just bought a SEGA Rally twin cabinet and I’m really happy about that. Not in perfect shape of course, but most of it is working fine.
Have replaced a couple of fans and made a complete disassemble of the game. Both because it was in need of a cleanup, and because of that I had to in order to get it down in my basement.
Just some minor fixes left, like the Race leader lamps etc.
But now I’m stuck with the calibration since I can’t get the two games to have the same top speed. Is this a common problem?
I try and try to get both the gas and brake pedals to have the exact same values in the test menu at both games, but still the top speeds seem to be like 198 km/h at the left cabinet and approx. 215 km/h at the right one. Both gas pedals have the exact same top value, but the brake values still differs a little. Didn’t think it was so sensitive…
Any tips to solve this would be appreciated, since I want both games to be equal, in order to have fair races.

Nice restro you have going there!
Always did love SEGA's racing side-by-side games. =P
As for your problem, it sounds like the Accel V.R needs to be adjusted on the slower speed cabinet. Here's a manual, incase you need a ref (Should be page 40 on Adobe reader, half-way down the page)

Dibs on the right cabinet!
Fantastic cab to restore, btw! I love those driving cabs, but dang they're big.

Thanks.
I have the printed manual, so I know what values there should be. Seems like it was one of the brake settings that interferred with this. As for know I have approximately the same top speed. So let the race begin =)
