Title: Mala startup causing windows to flip, then mala flips upside down!!!

Hi all,
I have been tinkering around with mala for a while, i can play stuff no problem.
What i cannot solve though is that on mala startup windows flips and then mala flips when i press the down button to scroll the gamelist.  I can flip it back with the ctrl+alt+down/up, but that is a pain and windows is still upside down. Also the configuration box, when i right click in mala is upside down until i correct it with  ctrl+alt+down/up. When i exit mala all my desktop icon are messed up, is this a resolution problem???
I'm running XP SP3. In config i have tried setting the flip=0, but this doesn't solve the issue.
Any help or ideas would be most appreciated as it is really the only thing i cant solve right now, and it is driving me 'flipping' mad!!!!

You have some hairy ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- selected, I'd guess. Ain't heard o that one. At worst, start your layout and ui features from scratch.

Thanks for reading the post. I have started from scratch and it does appear to be a resolution problem. The scaleable layouts all work fine but the Retrogui causes the flipping issue when i alter my PC resolution to match. At present the retrogui doesn't flip but when open only is about 40% size and not full screen. When i try to make it larger it flips. Will maybe just have ot use another one whilst i am setting Mala up. Cheers
