Title: Time Soldier
Post by: Romulet on October 07, 2012, 04:56:09 pm
Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and I'm starting to collect arcade games. The game I bought is Time Soldiers. The problem is the monitor. It's blue. I adjusted the controls for the blue on the board and it worked a little bit but It's still blue. Is the monitor going or is the yoke board that controls the color going? I'm not familiar with the parts yet but I will in time. I don't know what the board is called that goes on the yoke.

start by looking at the back of the neck inside the glass you should see 3 glowing orange lights (which means one for each gun, R G B), make sure all 3 are glowing (if not, you cant fix inside that part)

ok good start

try to check the wiring and soldering for the red, green and blue colours

also check this diagram below, and watch the videos below. perhaps will need to change transistor or capacitor if not wiring/solder problem

Now the other thing I would like to know is that if it would be good to get a cap kit and see if that fixes? Because it looks like this has the old caps on it. And if I do get it what type of Cap kit do I get? I don't know what type of chassis I have. But I do have some pics of it if that would help. On the back of the monitor it says I have a Wells Gardner monitor

you can get a cap kit depending on your monitor model here:

ps. perhaps this flowchart below is more specific to your monitor model if you own a wells gardner:
