We are about to have another large batch of shafts run and I wanted to check and see if there is any consensus on something people would be looking for...
Here is what we have currently:
IL/HAPP x 2 varieties RGB, one version of 6mm threaded hollow shaft
Seimitsu/Zippyy 6mm threaded hollow shaft
Seimitsu/Zippyy long 6mm threaded hollow shaft
JLF 6mm threaded hollow shaft
JLF long 6mm threaded hollow shaft
JLF regular length RGB Shaft
Here is what we will be adding:
JLF long RGB
Seimitsu/Zippyy Long RGB
Seimitsu/Zippyy RGB
JLW RGB
JLW 6mm top for LED
We also may be doing a few more Magstik Plus Shafts
We don't have plans to do a long JLW, but that is a possibility.
Any other suggestions?
-
I apologize in advance, but somebody has to....
Shaft request?
That's what she said.
-
What fits an Ultrastik 360?
-
I had not intent of such a dirty title
360's are tough to make led sticks because of the magnet placement, so please do not count on these shafts for that. The base design is that of JLW though.
-
Shaft request?
You're DAMN right.
(again, sorry in advance)
-
Two JLW shafts (or whatever is used in the ServoStiks.)
If you put the link up on your Paradise website, I'll pre-order mine today.
Is there an ETA?
-
I'd love to try out a couple JLWs.
-
I'm just looking for a cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about.
-
Do you have any hollow shafts I can put a bat top on?
Crazy request I know, but I want to diy rig a top-fire-button on a bat handle.
-
An extended JLF one with an adapter that would accept a 1/4" shaft for rotary mods. ;D

Oh hells yeah

He's a bad mother...[shut your mouth]. >:D

I would really like to see repro tapper shafts. I want to add a couple to my MAME cab, but I don't want to rob a nice Tapper CP to get them.
-
Now that is in interesting idea, the thought of doing Tapper handles doesn't really sound as tempting as a small run of 3/8"-16 UNC threaded tops so you can add any tap you want to the top of your machine....

I tried it with a full size Bud tap. It isn't as cool as it sounds. The small originals are a lot easier to play with. :)
-
Any chance for a happ perfect 360 hollow shafts?
-
/OT, sorry
Any thoughts on when LS-56s will be back in stock? I need two of the shafts... well the whole things actually. :afro:
/OT, sorry
-
Maybe you should change the title of this post to include the word "hollow".
-
they don't need to be hollow. I'm really looking for any suggestions people might hav
-
Stubby JLW's for metal control panels to replace a pac man joystick. :)
-
First off.... I think the JLW is the ideal Ms Pac replacement stick, I don't know why more people have not come to that realization
Second, you are the second person to ask for stubby JLW's, I will get a few dozen done for kicks, and just for better kicks...I'll do the threading so you can put the Wico replacement ball tops on them
-
I ended up cutting the ones for my cocktail table down at the machine shop at work... PITA though! ended up taking off about 3/4" to get it to fit good under the glass.

Hey, just the other day when I was emptying out my backpack to take it to Disneyland I found a couple of nintendo buttons I made on my 3d printer... do you still want them? Email me your mailing address if you do.

I would buy some of these in regular and hollow.

Yeah, I'd be interested in a hollow version myself.
-
Is there an ETA on the hollow JLWs, can I place a pre-order, because I would hate to miss them?

Could you do some replacement shafts for the Suzo 500 joysticks? They have a great feel and are 4/8/way switchable. However, the stock handles are very ugly.

Ditto. Watching/wanting/waiting. Hollow JLW's, please.

Double ditto for me.
-
OK, first stock of shafts arrived.... JLW RGB shorties, JLW RGB regular and Magstik Ultra RGB's
-
I need 5 or 6... how much shorter than standard? You have light springs for JLW as well?
-
4" WICO Hallowed leaf shafts, with threaded top for pimping out my Robotron. >:D
-
About 3/4" shorter...
I will need to double check with Wolfeel, we were going to release a hollow wico stick, I was also thinking about a replacement ms pac so you could put a pink or lit pink ball on there :)
-
4" Wico shafts that take the assorted current asian balltops would probably be popular since the stock of NOS red 4" sticks has dried up.
-
Ahhh yes... but we have the replacements made to the original dimensions and color!
Magstik, JLW, JLW shortie

I do really need those long hollow shaft that would fit with servo stick or j-stick......
I am starting to believe that hollow shaft are now getting popular and no wonder why Ultimarc or GGG or other arcade store is not selling........except Paradise arcade but Paradise's joystick shaft (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/en/paradise-arcade-custom-parts/421-sanwa-jlf-stainless-steel-hollow-joystick-shaft.html) is confusing me because I don't know which shaft suit which joystick so I contact Paradise Arcade for enquiring and guess what, they never reply back. :badmood:

I apologize, not sure what happened, I went back through every email with the word "hollow shaft" in it since August 20th and there were not unanswered emails about the shafts, but here's the scoop.
We have 15 different hollow shafts. They are designed for the standard sticks carried in our store and offer a variety of RGB and single LED options.
I can not validate the shafts will work with other vendors custom sticks. We are still in the process of creating our own 2/4/8 way switching sticks. We will have a full light up selection for these sticks when they are finished. If someone wants to measure the shafts on a custom sticks and send us the dims we can tell you if our shafts will fit.
PM me your email and I can do a search specifically for your email.
We have or will have the following (6mm threading is japanese standard, 10mm is for our custom ball tops and RGB ball tops, longs are all 3/4 inch longer than standard):
JLF 6mm threading
JLF Long 6mm threading
JLF 10mm
JLF Long 10mm
Seimitsu (also work for Zippyy) 6mm
Seimitsu Long (also work for Zippyy) 6mm
Seimitsu (also work for Zippyy) 10mm
Seimitsu Long(also work for Zippyy) 10mm
JLW 6mm
JLW 10mm
JLW 10mm shorty
Mag Stik 10mm
IL/Happ Skinny shaft 6mm
IL/Happ Skinny shaft 10mm
IL/Happ Standard shaft 10mm
We are also getting ready to release our custom LED joysticks with RGB tops prebuilt.
-
Any plans for a regular JLW shorty (regular thread, not hollow)?
-
No, but we plan on more 10mm threaded solid ball tops
-
We have or will have the following...
I'm very new to this and fairly dense anyway but I'm not finding the following on the Paradise site for HOLLOW sticks:
- JLW 6mm
- JLW 10mm
- JLW 10mm shorty
Are any of these 3 JLW sticks available right now with hollow shafts? If not, I know that they are coming but do you have an ETA yet? Weeks/months/years? I'm looking for hollow shafts for my ServoStiks.
Apologies if this is obvious to everyone else in the world or if the answer was stated above already and I'm just not getting it—wouldn't be the first time.

I remember Wolfeel saying over at KLOV that he eventually wanted to do hallowed version of his repro-sticks, and with the newly released version of JROK's multi-williams board, I'm sure these would be a hot commodity. I'm not sure if Wolf's given up that plan or not.
If this ends up happening, count me in for a set.

Oh man..... I just bought a bunch of 6mm balltops... can I swap some for the 10mm's when I pick up the shortie JLW shafts?
-
Unstupid, of course
We supplied wolfeels ball tops, we were/are supposed to take over production of the whole shaft at some point, I will drop him a line.

Ditto, I've been checking obsessively, my messages, email, here and the PA site for 2 days and nothing. Do you have a link? :dunno
-
Easy now, holiday season is setting in, emails may take a few days....
Right now they are no plans to do hollow shaft specifically for the Servo Stik. If our JLW's fit, that would be great, but we plan on releasing our own switching stick when we finish reworking it based on initial feedback.
We received a batch of sticks from our machine shop, and they are producing batch 2 right now (should be done Monday or Tuesday)

Did I miss something? I've been checking the site, checking here, it has been two weeks and nothing.
Can you post a link to the purchase page? ???

Just ordered a hollow JLW. Going to try it on a ServoStik and will report back here as to whether it fits or not. Suspecting that it won't fit but willing to roll the bones and give 'er a shot.
-
Yay! I ordered mine, I almost forgot to order the 10mm balltops to go with them. I will use those until the 6mm version comes out, then I'll buy those so I can use my translucent red and blue balltops again (both 6mm).
:applaud:
Thanks again for getting those made, I was getting a complex about never being able to finish my cabinet. Thanks to you, the end is in sight. ;D
Seriously, I looked everywhere, and you have the only ones for sale on the planet, and I have looked everywhere. It is such a specific part, that only such a small group will ever need, that I was worried they I would never find one.
As far as working with the ServoStiks, I guess I will have to see, if not, something somewhere will get modified to work, the shaft was the part that required very special tools to make, and now that that part has been taken care of it shouldn't be a big deal. (hell it may just fit perfect as is, we'll see)
-
Gah, thread was bumped, but not with hallowed WICO 4" shafts...
I am disappoint.
-
Opt2not, they are coming... I will check on production.
If someone is willing to ship me a servostick, I will do a hollow shaft for one....
-
Any news about hollow shafts for servo stik?
Sent from Commodore 64 using Tapatalk software.

Everything got here complete and fast, but, like you thought, the ServoStiks are non-standard JLWs.
Here is a comparison from the side.
From the left: JLF (hollow), stock shaft from the ServoStik (not hollow), new JLW (hollow).

The length is correct with the replacements, the top half width is irrelevant, but the stock ones are too skinny at the bottom.
So I'm going to try to put it in a drill, and "lathe" it down to size with sand paper. Wish me luck.
This is of course after I mixed every stick and shaft I had laying around to try to get it to work, but no.
I could try to drill out the pivot (little half-ball thing) but its solid metal, the black spring keeper wouldn't be a big deal as it is plastic.
I'm going to try the lathe method, as I bought some 10mm threaded shafts I can practice on.
