Title: happ trac-ball with optipac serial not working

I have all my joystick and buttons working. 

But I have this optipac and I'm trying to get a happ trac ball connected to it.
I have used a serial-serial cable and serial-usb neither seem to work...
The error I get is 'hardware not recognized'

From the picture where should the jumpers be positioned?
