Title: 27" crt or rotating lcd?
Post by: jpS14 on October 03, 2012, 03:37:02 pm
Well I have dynamo HS-5 and have a 20" 4:3 lcd in it right now. I've been debating if I want to put a 27" crt in it or a rotating 23" lcd screen in it (thanks to griffindodd). I just thought I would get some opinions. And just some extra info, games I usually play are fighters and shmups. Thanks in advance.

I initially was going to do two cabs with LCD's in them for vertical and horizontal games, but I have decided to ditch that and go with one cab with a 27" in it.  Sure it needs to be deeper, but it is just a better viewing experience IMO.

Do the best of both worlds. A 27" rotating crt!

I think I am going to go with a 27" CRT on my build.  Mainly because it should look more authentic.  I imagine the LCD would be easier to set up though.

Thanks for the repsonse guys. Yeah I wanted to make a cab for vertical games only but not sure if I have the space for it since I want to build a pin or a racing cab next. I leaning towards the 27"crt since the cab has the space for it.

Yeah, do the 27".
If the cab has that kinda room, the 23" may look a little small in there.
