Title: SoulDraw for art
Post by: yaksplat on September 27, 2012, 01:05:05 pm
I've seen a few mentions of people using them for artwork and I was planning on going that route, but I have a few questions.

What materials did people go with for the CP, side art and Marquee?  I'm guessing Vinyl Sticker, PVC Film Sheet and Indoor Backlit PVC Film (Mirror Printing).

Any drawbacks, regrets?

I saw the tread that mentioned the lack of stickiness for the side art.  Anyone else experience this?

Based on the price, quick turnaround, and low shipping, using them almost looks like a no brainer.

I'm usually not a fan of ordering from China, but when their speed, price AND customer service are better than can be found locally, i don't have an issue.

I've used their vinyl sticker material. I'm printing the side art for my current project on it because it only costs me $30 vs. $100 from GameOnGrafix. I wouldn't use it for a CP unless it would be covered by plexi.

As noted, some people have mentioned minor problems with adhesion on some edges/corners. (May have been a cleaning/prep issue)  If you can wrap it around or secure it under t-molding, you should be fine.

Jammin0 used them for his Ninja Monkeys build. His Souldraw art recap is here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,118228.msg1291025.html#msg1291025).
