Title: Cocktail cabinet with trackball and spinner control panels???
Post by: cmoses on September 25, 2012, 05:36:54 pm
I just recently acquired a cocktail cabinet that I will be turning into a MAME cabinet. I thought I had seen a cocktail cabinet recently that had 1 joystick, 3 buttons and a trackball one on side and 1 joystick, 3 buttons and a spinner on the other side. I did a bunch of searching but have not been able to find it. Does anyone know if the cocktail cabinet I am referring to?

Sounds like Millercentral's 3-sided cocktail.

Panel pics in this thread (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,122637.msg1302268.html#msg1302268).

No that was not it. It was only 2 sided. As I recall one side had red joystick and buttons. The other side was blue. Joysticks on left, buttons in middle, trackball or spinner on the right.

I'd be curious to see this as well. Looking at my Midway cocktail at least, I just don't see a way to make it fit given the real-estate taken up by a joystick and trackball. I figure someday I'll own a millipede/centipede and marble madness and I'll be good :)

So I finally found it. It wasn't a project but a cocktail table by Monster Arcade. You can see it here.

Still like the idea. I wonder if it could be done on a Midway/Namco cocktail cabinet. I have 11" wide control panels. I bet you could get a 8 way joystick 3 buttons and a 2 1/4 in trackball on there.
Then the same except a spinner instead if the trackball on the other side.

Anyone out there done this?
