Title: Vertical mounting vga monitor in cabinet
Post by: iscariot on September 12, 2012, 09:06:47 am
I'm mounting a VGA monitor into an arcade cabinet....the tube mounts quite well with some brackets that I made, but the chassis is a different story.  Does anyone have any tips on mounting the chassis on something like this?  The bracket for the monitor that came with the cabinet wasn't wood, but metal and I'm not too good mounting to metal.

drill holes in the metal and mount the metal to a 2x4.

This might help you out, I've built three cabinets this way:

Here's how I mounted my VGA monitor.  You can see I just screwed the chassis to the 3/4 plywood board.  You might consider replacing the metal bracket that came with the monitor for a wood solution.
