just noticed this ad on this site:
Toyota 86: Raw Driving (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAN_3H2MScw#ws)
Looks interesting. Although I must say I'd prefer the 2000Gt you see for a few seconds near the beginning (",)

I don't think I've seen the "oh what a feeling" tagline since the 80's. Is that the last time they made a fun car?

Possibly. This looks like it might be a fun car...

Did they raze Outback just for this?

I take it you've never seen Mad Max...

I asked because it was a square piece of blank land surrounded by grasses.

The Scion "BR-Z", or the subaru equivalent "FRS". Certainly not a bad car, but it's price point and target audience means there's going to be A LOT of them in the hands of 17-21 year old kids.

That is the Outback, yes.

That was another interesting thing about it I only just discovered today reading a magazine in the lunchroom. It's designed by Toyota, but built by Subaru, and has a Subaru engine- a 2 litre boxer.
I don't think THAT many teenagers are going to be buying this. When the cars are ten years old, yes. New, not a big problem I don't think...

Square. As in neatly cut.

Oh, I see. You said 'raze' before, which implies being burnt in my mind. Dunno, either they got a grader in and made a flat field, or more likely, there's some CGI going on there...

I've heard my brother say 'raze the property', which I took to mean clearing it.
Incidentally, my initial comment was a slight bit of off-hand humour.

Yeah, it completely flew over my head because I wasn't seeing that small bit of square dirt, just the Outback in general. So I was thinking you just had never seen Outback footage before ;D

You've got those backwards. Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ. It's also the Toyota GT86 in much of the rest of the world.
