Title: Default Marquee and Starting Picture have me pulling my hair out

I set them in my layout using layout editor...

Opened the mll file in notepad and made sure the path to my images was correct.  Checked and unchecked all different options under the GUI tab.

Still nothing... WTF am I doing wrong?

Alright found the check box under the "GUI" tab Game Start/Quit Sub-Tab for using the starting pic if called to by the layout.  That fixed my Starting picture issue.

Still lost on the default marquee.  :angry:  :angry:  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Well, just verified that the marquee does still work (in the 1.7.5 beta anyway).

Here's the entries from my mll file

MarqueeImageTop=54
MarqueeImageLeft=187
MarqueeImageHeight=450
MarqueeImageWidth=450
MarqueeVisible=1
MarqueeDefault=DefaultMarquee.jpg


Note that I didn't put a path on the DefaultMarquee.jpg, and I also set mala to NOT use the layout name as folder

My Mala.INI section looks like this

SwitchWithEmulator=0
SwitchWithGamelist=0
UseLayoutNameAsDir=0
DisableAnimation=0

Mine has the path going to try just the filename and toggle the layout pics are in a folder of the same name switch when I get home. Thanks doc!

I couldn't get so I finally just added it to my bg image, looks great...

When I get things cleaned up I'll post layout video here.

1.7.4 actually... funny thought I had upgraded to the beta.

here's the layout (in progress) in case you missed it in the other thread.  Just added the default marquee to the background until I can upgrade MaLa or otherwise solve this.

Yeah, I'd grab 1.7.5 if you can and have a go with it. The marquees and such seem to be working fine for me.
