Here are some shots of my first arcade cab. I picked the things I liked from a few different designs and mashed them altogether. I really liked the neon ring idea!
-
Time to start painting and adding the laminate.
-
Final assembly and light leak testing.
-
All finished. To make it even better the wife said I can keep it in the house!
-

I like the smaller admin buttons. You have a lot going on with your control panel but the design is nice and clean so it is not overwhelming. Nice job.

wow. Really nice looking. what did you use to map out and design the cp. it looks like it came out perfect. Im a bit stumped on what to do for my CP. I really want it to come out as nice as yours.

Here is the cp creation post: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,121940.msg1294266.html#msg1294266 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,121940.msg1294266.html#msg1294266)
I fumbled around with adobe illustrator. I made a cardboard model drew some buttons on it and transferred the measurements into AI. I really had no clue how to use the program it took 2 days just to figure out how to make a circle with in a circle. I just downloaded the 30 day trial. I can upload the file if people want to use it. I think it's about 5 mb. With out the art layer it is alot smaller.

Great looking project!
Regarding the cp design: Illustrator is great for this indeed! Takes some time getting used to, but once you now your way around it it's a great program (I'm a graphic designer so I work with it on a daily basis).
-
Love it - very clean build, great art, neon looks good. Any construction pics for the gun holder?

Id like a copy if you dont mind.

Here is the Marquee and the CPO files. They are Adobe Illustrator (CS6) files, if you open them with an older version the layers will be all messed up and it will be impossible to work with. Let me know if you want anything else.

No I don’t, but I can make up a parts list from McMaster Carr, step by step instructions and some dimensions. But I don’t have any pictures of it unassembled. It’s a piece of textured 1/4 hdpe. Like I said I can get some more details if you would like.

Looks great!
What did you use to create the space on the side panels so that light shines through?

I used a 1/4 in plexi on the bottom half and 1/4 in ply on the top half. Its sandwiched in, so the light goes through the plexi and it keeps the inside nice and dark. On pic 2, 4, and 12 you can see where the wood and plexi meet.

Here are some better pics of the CPO and Marquee. The black lines in the background were just render errors they are not in the printed CPO. If i was to do it all over again I would not put the lighter blue boarder around the outside. it was to much of a pain to lineup with the edge of the CPO (I cut like a drunk sailor.) I think it would give it a cleaner look.
