Title: Mala Background on Vertical Games

When using MaLa and launching 194x games, the mala background stays there flickering away at 15 hz or something.

I think it might be to do with cpwizard?

anyone seen this / solved this before?

I've never seen anything like that.

Do you have bezels enabled in MAME, but no bezel images in the artwork folder?
Messing around with the video options in the in-game MAME menu(TAB) might provide some clues.

To add further confusion, or perhaps information... this only occurs when cpwizard is on.  If i close it down this does not happen.

I looked at video options, changing one thing at a time, and no difference.  I will mess with cpwizard next, however i found that messing with it tended to break everything last time, so i will have to go very carefully...
