Hello,
I am in the middle of building my first cab, and I am following the awesome guide over at arcadecab.com, and everything is going really well, I'm having fun building it, I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, etc...
I really wanted to build a 4 player cab, but when I got the cab assembled enough to get an idea of what it would be like to play on, it seems like it might be too small to be a 4 player cab? The monitor that this cab can house seems to be limited to around a 20", would that matter?
Anyone have any experience to throw my way?

Hi nadcraker. The ArcadeCab site is mine. Depending upon how far along you are with your build, you might be able to make slight alterations for a better 4-player experience. The side profile boards will be fine as is. You'd just want to adjust the inner boards from their current 20" width to something more than that. How much more is up to you. You might base it upon the size of monitor you plan to use.
Feel free to email me at the site if you have further questions. My buddy brought this thread to my attention as I hadn't logged on in a couple years. Too much temptation to hit the shop again seeing all the fantastic work around here. :)

Hey, thanks for the reply. First off, I just want to say that your website and the plans on it are awesome, and are really helpful for a first timer.
Unfortunately I glued and screwed my base and monitor shelf, so disassembling the cab at this point might be kind of difficult. That being said, I'm not too far along, and with the experience I've gained running through the process once (not to mention I can use the existing sides as a template!) I might just start over, it won't take too long.
I think I will wait, and while I am restoring my table saw (a whole other project that hopefully will make this one easier) look for a 25" monitor, then build the cab around that.
Thanks!
