Post by: F|end on October 08, 2003, 07:00:08 pm

I'm trying to see if i can get a jamma cab at a fair price in a warehouse near my place but i kinda figured out this problem:

How to connect a VGA monitor to a pc!? Is there some special cable to do that or chassi?!

Well, if someone already did this kinda job, please post something about it ok! :)

What i wanted to know, more preciselly was:

Is there some special cable to connect a arcade monitor (like wells for example) to a standard graphics card?!  :)

most graphic cards won't output the correct signal for an arcade monitor without extra help.  For instance I use a Trident t-64 card which has a program written for it to output to 15khz, other cards have similiar setups but really aren't ideal--to connect your pc directly to an arcade monitor without something to alter the signal generated by the video card is not a good idea--thats why i mentioned the arcadevga above--it does all the conversion on the card for multiple resolutions.
