Hello,
I have an arcade cabinet with a 25" K7000 Prismatic monitor in it. I'd like to get the cabinet to the second floor and have removed all of the cabinet's components, except for the PCB's and the monitor. The rotating stairs require us to lift the cabinet up really high and it is still way to heavy for us (three persons) to do so. I have been unable to find information on how heavy the display is, but someone said a 27" would weigh 35-40 kg, so my guess would be around 30kg for the 25" (~66lbs).
A final attempt could be made if I were to remove the monitor. However, all the warnings about handling monitors have scared me into even touching the thing. A question I have not seen answered is: if I unscrew everything, can I touch most of the outside of the monitor, screen or frame, or is it still quite risky? (it has been unplugged for over three days now).
If we cannot remove the monitor I'll have to either hire a crane to lift it to the second floor or keep it downstairs forever. The latter is not too much of an issue, thought I'd prefer to have it upstairs.

To be honest I've never had a problem with tubes. Unbolt everything, make sure not to touch any of the metal and, as odd as this sounds, wear a pair of gloves. Rubber ones.
I may get crucified for saying this though.
Just be super, super, careful with the neck of the tube and the circuit board attached. The neck assembly is very fragile.

I took my chances with some rubber gloves and got it out quite easy, for as far as easy goes when lifting out a 30kg monitor out on your own (I weighed it :P). I made sure not to touch the rubber thingie on the back nor the boards or "cannon"; only the frame around it and the sides of the screen when maneuvering it out of the cabinet.
After stripping most of the parts the cabinet is down to ~80kg. Another attempt to get it upstairs follows this evening!

Good luck! I sure don't envy you moving a cab up stairs. I used to do furniture delivery and nothing made me scream inside more than calling the customer and asking about the delivery, "Oh, it's easy. No big deal"
Get to the home and it's up a flight of curving stairs. And it's a double recliner, hide-a-bed sofa.
And they NEVER tipped.

Well, it's up now.. Took a long time since it BARELY fitted through the stairs. When we were just over 2/3rd of the way we had to unscrew part of a lock off the cabinet since we needed the 2cm extra space. I'm happy it's on the second floor now, but not so much about the fact I have to repair some of the paint/wall. Here's to hoping I can pull it off 8)
