Hi folks
I have been setting up M2 Emulator on my PC mainly for House of the dead and Virtua cop 1& 2, I have put the game on full screen mode on lowest resolution on PC monitor as not sure what resolution to use when finally set up on arcade monitor, to be honest I may have to run at 640 x 480 (lowest res available) as any higher causes slow down not sure if this will look good on arcade monitor or not?.
Im in the testing stages trying to get to grips with the emu and how it all works with a view to eventually puting in a cab with 2 Aim track guns. The games plays quite well very minimal slow down if any but the sound definitely stutters and has a slight delay which although not horrendous is very distracting.
I have taken a video with my phone, hopefully you can pick up what I mean from the footage.

Do I need to upgrade my Ram or can this be resolved with some graphics card/ sound card tweaks? Or settings altering on windows/ Emulator?
I'm pretty sure pc can handle this but not an expert. Iv tried both the standard emulator and the multi CPU version as not sure which is best for my set up? but hard to tell if any difference.
House of the dead suffers from similar issues but not nearly as noticable, Virtua cop 2 plays well but when screen is busy slow down and again sound stuttering.
Model 2 Emulator latest version 1.0
Windows 7 Home Premium - Service pack 1
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ 2.20 Ghz
2.00 GB Ram 64 bit operating system
Soundblaster Live CT 4670 with Project KX drivers
Nvidia GForce 6200 AGP 256MB 64 Bit graphics card
What do you think?
Many thanks in advance

I'm running a 512mb Nvidia 7900GT in my Intel Pentium D 925 dual core 3.0ghz setup with full frame rates. It's also running 4Gb of DDR2 all at stock speeds. For the Model 2 emulator though I felt that the 7900GT was only just making the grunt needed (about 4600 3DMarks06). When I dropped in the 8800GTX (about 12000 3DMarks06) there was a massive difference in fluid motion. I wouldn't want to run Model 2 emulator on a card which would perform less that 4000 3DMarks06. I'm not sure how your 6200 AGP card compares, but I'd say thats is whats holding back your frame rates there...
You could also consider dropping back to Windows XP? more cpu overheads in Win7 won't help you much.
You can also check how much ram your using whilst playing the games with Windows 7 Gadgets also... not hard to check that. With only 2Gb of Ram, you don't need a 64bit OS, and to that extent you won't need Win7 with that CPU either. Rule of thumb, match the generation of your OS to the generation of your CPU/Mobo and you can't go wrong.

Thank you for your reply, I must apologise as my computer knowledge is quite limited but from what your saying if I drop back to Windows XP and buy a better graphics card it should run well? If this is the case could you recommend a good agp graphics card?
Many thanks
