Title: How about a Colecovision Jamma Supergun that can play rotary joystick games? ;-)
Post by: shadwolf on August 19, 2012, 02:09:18 pm
Yeah, so I I built this thing many moons ago out of parts I had lying around. And yes, the Colecovision (and controllers) was dead before I used it as a project box.

It features:

Peter Chou power supply

RGB to Composite and S-Video converter (I can't remember the brand)

Provision for both amplified and unamplified for use with arcade speakers or television speakers respectively

Player 1 & 2 controllers each with an SNK LS-30 rotary joystick (for use with games such as Ikari Warriors), 3 buttons, plus separate coin up and player start buttons on each controller.

Jamma harness to plug into arcade pcb

Player 1 & 2 LS-30 pcb harnesses for the dozen or so SNK rotary joystick games

Service & Test switches

Appx 15' long power cord

Appx 10' long controller cords

Note that the original Colecovision controllers are beyond repair and are simply for appearance - they conceal part of the internals of the supergun. As far as the working controllers go, be aware that the LS-30's have the plastic joysticks tops from Touchdown Fever joysticks on them, but they are the 12-position LS-30 sticks.

I'd like this to go to someone with the ability to do repair it if necessary. It works fine right now, but I'm not a master solderer and there are a ton of connections for each stick to pass through the wires for the rotary harness. If any of the solder points became unsettled during shipment you should have the ability to resolder them as I am selling this unit as is. Surely there won't be any problem, but I just want to make it clear that once this leaves my possession, it's left my posession :-)

Shoot me an offer if interested. This thing isn't worth a bajillion dollars or anything but is at least worth the sum of its parts.
