Alright, to end the debate going on my shoulders, which would be the better choice: the Zero-Delay encoder (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=114744.0l) or the Xin Mo encoder (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/en/mame-arcade-parts/24-arcade-controller-to-usb.html)?
If looking through the specs are correct, both of them connect via USB as a gamepad (Yay, HIDs!)
The plan is to set up the first player with four admin buttons, a coin button, a start button, two gameplay buttons, and a joystick (4/8-way) (8 buttons plus stick). The second player just gets a coin button, start button, two gameplay buttons, and a joystick (4 buttons and a stick).
The Xin Mo can do two joysticks and ten buttons for first player, then twelve buttons for the second player, while the Zero Delay (from what I understand) possibly has one joystick support, PoV hat support for a second joystick, and an option for twelve buttons with enough wires. The Zero Delay gives enough ports (twelve button ports) for my needs since those needs total to twelve buttons and two sticks. Does the Xin Mo have any other special features? Did I get any of this information wrong?

I have two zero delays and they kick ass. Two interfaces plus extra wires is still cheaper than any of the most popular interfaces.
Vigo rocks and ships fast. Plug and play 100%

Cheaper, yes. I guess it's worth the money with a response like that. So I can still plug two joysticks in one ZD interface, right, granted both players' button count is at most twelve?

I see no reason to not get two... but yes theoretically it could work with an extra set of wires.
The only thing prohibitive would be the length of the provided wires, you may have to splice them to make them long enough to reach your buttons.

Then how long are these wires, if you know?

yep from one terminal end to the other approx 8 1/4 inches

I found 12 inch wires on Ebay that should work for the ZD encoders. If you mounted the encoder close to the centre of your CP they should come close to reaching either side unless the CP is wider than 24 inches. Cost is less than 4 bucks for 10 wires and some female connectors. I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Of course you'll have to wait until they are shipped from Hong Kong which may take a month!
Here's the link -> http://www.ebay.ca/itm/170898159066?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:VRI&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2661 (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/170898159066?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:VRI&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2661)
I know that Vigo will sell you some extra wires if you need them but I believe that they are still only 8 inches long. Here is a link to the discussion about setting up two players using one board -> http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,114744.msg1216914.html#msg1216914 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,114744.msg1216914.html#msg1216914)
I'm going to try this myself when my board arrives!
Good luck!
Dino Z.

If I'm going to have to get two ZD encoders, a single Xin Mo would save $4.50 and allow more buttons with possibly longer cables than 8". That may be the better choice.
1 Xin Mo (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/en/mame-arcade-parts/24-arcade-controller-to-usb.html): $25.00
2 ZD Encoders (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,114744.msg1216914.html): $29.50

Hi Player 3! Let me know if you have any specific questions for me. I know for cable extensions, I refer people to get these if needed:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110928718392 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/110928718392)
They should double the length. Otherwise, just extending the wires by snipping into them works as well.
Regarding the price, I just wanted to point out that the ZD Arcade price does include shipping in that, at least in the US. For international, I just add in the difference cost in shipping. it is usually only a buck or two more. I think the Xin Mo doesn't include shipping cost. For me the shipping on the Xin Mo is $6
Thanks!
