Title: Wiring a mouse hack spinner
Post by: ceburto2 on August 16, 2012, 05:13:39 pm
I am creating a spinner from a mouse PCB and other parts. I would like to wire the mouse microswitches to standard game button microswitches. I believe this would enable me to skip the encoder for the spinner. How do I identify the three legs of the mouse microswitches?

Thanks,

There's probably no third lead -- look under the switch.

If there are, use a multimeter in continuity/ohms mode to determine which two leads under the switch are normally not connected (no continuity/open), but are connected when the button is pushed.
