Title: Help me understand "Pull" part of Push/Pull Spinner
Post by: ceburto2 on August 13, 2012, 07:57:20 pm
Hello,

I grew up in the 80s and don't remember (or have forgotten) a game that required a 2 action spinner. Discs of Tron had a "Push" action. What MAME supported games require, or are better with a Push/Pull spinner like Apache Controls Blackhawk?

Thanks,
ceburto2

Disks of Tron used a push/pull.  You'd use it to move around the platforms.

Thanks. I played regular Tron much more than Discs so I guess I didn't remember it right.

Push/pull spinner in DOT to aim up and down. Twist spinner to aim horizontally.  Use joystick to move and jump from platform to platform.

Zwackery and Forgotten Worlds used similar spinners.

I think those are the only 3.

My workaround for not having a push/pull spinner is a rocker footswitch (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,114867.msg1285787.html#msg1285787) that also doubles as a microswitch gas/brake for driving games.
