So I want to build a replica Donkey Kong cab however I dont want to run it on mame, I want to buy a pcb and run it that way. The thing is I have no idea about this side of the project.
Ive built a number of Mame cabs so I fine with all that side but im a little unsure as to what I would need / how I would hook it all up.
I was looking at buying the board from mikesarcade, what would I need in terms of a monitor? and how do you hook it up to the board? I know the nintendo cabs used very specific monitors but I have seen this: http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=NININVAMP (http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=NININVAMP)
So would I be able to use any monitor? I really want to get the ball rolling but this monitor issue is the only thing Im worried about.
any help would be apreciated.
thanks

That board would allow you to use any regular arcade monitor (like a wells gardner k4900, etc.) with your nintendo game board. Its not for using any monitor such as a vga monitor.
However Wells Gardner does have some LCDs that will take a regular arcade video signal.
That board on Mikes Arcade will take care of the audio and also the video inversion because nintendos video signals are opposites of others.
