Title: NES emu for Vertical Cab?
Post by: DeLuSioNal29 on August 12, 2012, 03:56:05 pm
Hi all,

I tried searching on the subject and came up with nothing.  I currently use FCE on my horizontal cab and tried it on the vertical cab, only to realize that you can't rotate the image.

I can rotate the image by changing my desktop, but then the front end and MAME get screwed up.

So my question is:  Which emu (if any) support the rotating of the image?

Thanks in advance!

D

You can either:

Use irotate.exe as pre and post commands in Maximus to rotate the desktop on the fly in conjunction with your current emulator, or
use MESS's NES emulation, which rotates as MAME does, if that's good enough for the games you want to run.

If you use irotate to rotate the desktop, keep in mind that your emulator could have trouble with full-screen modes if it assumes that the typical 3:4 modes will be available.

Great suggestions. I'll give them a shot next week once I have more free time.
