I read the wiki and last time I looked, Digital Leisure had the stuff you needed to build a successful Daphne setup. Just wondering why it's so different now?
being a newb to Daphne (but a lover of the original Dragon's Lair), I want to include a daphne build on my arcade. So...
What do I have to do *legally* to get all the daphne games setup on my box?
Thanks,
AJ

Long story short.... you can't.
DL only has the rights to DL, Space Ace and Thayer's Quest. The rest are unliscensed and thus their is no legal way to get them.
But you asked about how to get them legally.

I bought the DL, DL II, and Space Ace DVDs. Daphne runs great with them.

So, you copied the DVDs onto your rig, then got the roms and run Daphne? Just trying to get a feel for what to ask from Santa this year. I know that DL spent a lot of dev time doing this, so I wanted to buy it properly.
Thanks,
AJ

Actually, I think Daphne uses the DVD as a 'key' and downloads the necessary files. It's been a few years since I set it up, though.

Yeah... daphne loader has a built in torrent manager. When you try to download games, it'll ask you for the appropriate discs. Daphne actually uses footage ripped from the original laserdisc though, so don't waste your time getting the blu-ray version or anything.
Daphne's forums is the best place to ask this stuff btw.
