Title: The Simpsons

maybe its just me but i cant this darn game to work!  the title and music comes on but then cuts off. i really liked playing this game in the arcades. if all else fails make mine a duffs.

I don't play the Simpsons every day, but have played it quite a bit on different versions of MAME throughout the year with any trouble..  What version of the software are you using?

I don't think I have had a problem on DMAME .62-.73.  You might want to update your version or if you are completely up to date, back off to an older version.  Someone here might be more familiar with the driver for that ROM but I know some roms will "break" in updates, only to be fixed later (The sound on NBA JAM was one of these that I remember).

If I remember right, Simpsons did get broken at a version not too long ago and then fixed.  I could be wrong though and have it confused with some other game.
I'm running version 64 and have no probs with Simpsons.

i'm running it in mame32 v.70b1.this the only game that i have that does this :'(

Yes, it WAS definately the Simpson's that was broken in a very recent release...found that out myself :(  I am pretty sure that it was v.70.  However, it is fixed and working in the newest releases.

Try upgrading to the latest version...that should get you going again!   :)
