It's only $60...  That's pretty seriously cheap for a touch-screen LCD setup I thought.  Then again, maybe I'm just looking at the wrong stuff.

Unrelated, but you still got the hookup on Ford employee pricing?  I thought I was going to have to take my 2001 F150 out into a field and put it out of its misery, but it turned out to be an $8 part at fault.  My dad just screwed Nissan out of some loaded Titan for $23k but I'd rather stay domestic.

Yes, I still have the Ford X-Plan hook up! But you might want to wait until mid August, might be able to get a better deal on a 2012 closeout rather than a 2013 with X-plan.

Your Dad didnt screw nissan, they gave the truck away (plus they are uuuuugly). They sell as many in a year as Ford does in 2 weeks.

I would turn it into a Jukebox/touchscreen games centre for the kids.  Everything about the desk screams kiddy friendly.  Failing that you could rip out the monitor, throw the pc/desk away and make something from scratch.

I'm not exactly a big NFL fan, but with that color scheme,  it looks like it should be made into a Minnesota Vikings trivia game or stat checker for fan arguments that come up while they are watching the big game.   :lol

That's probably not the type of touchscreen you can drag with.

further OT- PBJ - I always build those underseat enclosures for my truck as well.  I rattlecan spray mine black and use old door hinges for the sides so it folds up if I need to take it out.  Never needed to take it out so far.  GMC sierra and now an old F150.

That color scheme is right up my alley.  You sure that's an LCD?  Anyways, I'd pull the touch screen out though, add a 19" CRT, and add a CP. Maybe cut off the upper 'flanges' to open it up.

Your Dad didnt screw nissan, they gave the truck away (plus they are uuuuugly).

It was really strange... the paperwork said the truck was really basic - no bed liner, fixed rear windows, no tow package.  The actual truck is the complete opposite.  I could only figure they were "giving away" the upgrades just to get them off the lot.  And, yes, we checked to make sure the VIN matched.

Very ugly and only comfortable because it's so damned big, IMO.  They had another one on the lot for $19k.

He probably got the Preferred Package, which is standard even on base model crew cabs... Bed liner, keyless entry, tinted glass and 6 disc CD changer. Tow package is separate.

I have a Titan, and it would take a REALLY good deal to get me back in an F150. The 5.4 is gutless, though I do really like the interior.
Since I need a van, I do have a 2011 E250. The Titan feels like a Ferrari after driving it. I think your dad will be happy with it.

PS: That touchscreen looks like a CRT. Has a CRT bezel on it.
