Title: Global VR Force-Feedback PCB help - SOLVED

I have a Force-Feedback PCB made by Immersion, from a Global VR Need For Speed machine. This PCB in either a single or dual version is in all Global VR racing cabs from what I can gather.

I plan to connect this PCB to an Active Happ Steering Assembly but the PCB didn't come with cables, so I'll have to try to make some cables up. I've had a good look but I can't find a schematic for the PCB anywhere on the net. The best I've found is the diagrams in the PDF I've attached.

What I need to know though is which pins are what on the PCB, So I know which way to make and connect the cables.
Can anyone with a Global VR racing cab perhaps have a look at how the cables connect or could someone post a schematic of the PCB if they have one please?

I need to build the cables labelled P/N 115-0005-01, P/N 115-0006-01 and P/N 115-0007-01 in the PDF. The pins these cables attach to on the PCB are the ones in question.

Cheers, I had a look at a few of the manuals on the Global VR website, but they all are very similar and don't have a detailed schematic of the FFB PCB. I've emailed them anyway to see if they can help.

Are planning to use this with a PC running emulators?
If so, where did you find the driver?
(the last link I found to it was dead)

ECCI uses the same board and drivers for the ECCI7000 from what I've read.  :)
From comments about the ECCI wheel, the only drawback is that it's not possible to have a default centering feedback active while playing games in MAME.
Haven't heard about any issues in other emulators or games.

Seems like a solid option for conversions that I haven't seen used yet.

Yes, the plan is to use this with a PC running Sega M2 & M3 emulators.

I thought the only driver needed for the FFB PCB was the USB DirectX Driver?? You've got me worried now, ha ha.
I'm going to email a guy in the uk that used to sell these to double check.

I got a response from Global VR, they just gave me a link to the NFS Manual section I'd already looked at.
I've seen 1 pic on there though that shows a ground wire mod for an ESD shock protection fix coming from one of the pins I need to identify, so getting there ... slowly.
I'll just have to trial and error the pot and motor connections but really don't want to be connecting the 24v power on the wrong pin.
I guess if 2 wires were connecting to a 3 pin connection then you'd have 1 at either end, would you not?

Bit of an update...

It's taken some doing as its all been a case of trial and error but I have the Immersion FFB PCB all connected up and working an absolute treat  ;D

I can't believe how strong the FFB effects are, I've had to drop the gain settings right down and its still nearly ripping the wheel out of my hands  :laugh:

I'll hopefully get a video up sometime this weekend.

As for the drivers ... I did need the Immersion Drivers for it to function and they took some hunting down but I've attached them to this post in case by any slim chance anybody needs them. They are for x64 and x86 systems with Windows XP, Vista or 7.

Slight Update: Immersion got back me today with some more drivers and a PDF manual, albeit for the single board version. I've attached the driver to the post above and the PDF to this post if needed.
