Title: Anyone tested Analog+ XP with USB Opti-PAC and dual T/B?
Post by: AndyWarne on October 06, 2003, 04:54:31 am
Hi,

You might ask "why don't I test it" but to be honest setting up an XP system with Analog+ and dual trackballs would be quite time consuming at the moment. In theory dual trackballs with USB Opti-PAC should work in XP with the new version.
If anyone can confirm this it would be great. Also, if anyone currently has a serial opti-PAC dual trackball setup (with DOS) and wants to try USB with XP, I'll send a USB upgrade kit free of charge.
Thanks,
Andy

Confirmed, it works.   :D

On my friend's computer, what was optipac's mouse one was mouse 3 in analog+, and optipac's mouse two was mouse 2.  I.E., the numbering got switched for some reason.  Since you can cange this in Analog+, it's not that bad a problem if it's universal (and not just my friend's system), but something people might want to watch for.

(And thanks for reminding me, Andy; I tested it this last weekend and was going to post, but didn't get around to it. :-\ )

I tested one serial mouse co-mingling with several usb mice, and that worked fine with Mame Analog+ XP, so the serial Opti-Pac is worth testing, also.
