Title: Ivan 4x4 360 degree wheels > MAME

Well I've email Gremlin Solutions twice now with no reply.

I have an Ivan 4x4 that I want to mame up, but unsure which ultimarc kit I need as the wheels are 360 and the pedals are digital. Any help?

The U-HID can handle both the steering wheel and the pedal, as well as buttons and LED outputs.

If you're not worried about adding any new controls, you might get away with using the U-HID nano which is cheaper but only has 8 inputs.

If you want to cheap out, you can hack the steering to an old rollerball mouse and the pedal to a gameport.  :P

I'm pretty sure those pedals were analogue (potentiometer).

If they're just a switch, you could get away with just using a trackball/spinner interface (or mouse hack).
It will show up as a mouse and pedal, start, & coin could be wired as mouse buttons.

Would the U-HID nano be enough to do a pole position cockpit? 360 wheel, 2 analog pedals, and 3 "buttons".

I don't think, but you could check with Andy about some of these workarounds:

The analogue inputs sense voltage, so if you used an external 5v power source, you'd only need one pin per pedal.
That looks possible on pg 11 of the manual (the nano has the same functionality, just fewer pins):

3 pins + ground for buttons leaves only 2 pins for the optical encoder.
This is where I think we run out of room.
If the optical encoder can use power from an external source, that would just get you there.
But judging from the examples, I'm guessing this isn't possible.
