I've been hunting to find the ideal stick for Pac-Man. I don't care if its leaf or microswitch, but it does need a diamond restrictor and a medium throw. If you play Pac-Man, I'm sure you know what constitutes as a good joystick for that game as well as other old 4-way games that require good reflexes and a stick that will let you lock into directions. New or used, I don't care, just find me the stick I'm looking for!
I think the ones I've experienced and loved in various old 4-way machines were Wico or Wico-style sticks, where the restrictor is either inside the stick or mounted underneath the switches instead of on top of them like most of the new restrictors seem to be. I could be way off on this as I haven't had any one-on-one time with anything other than new sticks.

if you can't find a Wico-Leaft True-4way stick, then get the Ms.Pac/Galaga reunion stick

That sure does seem like the obvious choice... I've been warty because the only 25th anniversary machine I've played had what felt like an octagonal restrictor, which is stooopid! Maybe it wasn't the correct stick.

Consider the GGG leafpro with 4 way option - I've used both and prefer it over the Reunion. much lighter action, nice short throw and more enjoyable. I'm sure some would consider the leafpro too light.
