Hello, I have a monitor that I believe is a Zenith EIA 1101. That's the only info I can get off the monitor...
Anyway, the little board that has the knobs that adjusts the picture is cracked and I am unable to adjust the picture. After messing with it, I am now not even able to see the picture enough to play the game. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement that will work with my monitor? Thanks in advance.

just flip the board over use some solder and wire to jump the broken tracks. You probably only have at most 6 jumpers.

I'll give that a try. I'm not very experienced with soldering but I was a welder for 8 years so perhaps that will help me a bit. Thanks for the reply.

I unplugged the board and took it to the garage and came up with another question before I even started. Do I need to repair the board at all? Should I glue the cracked part back together or just leave it cracked?

you can.
personally, i would repair the board...make sure it works properly, then hot glue it along the crack into the plastic holder. it will help support it and keep it from moving around.
the likelyhood of it needing to be repaired again is next to none so the fact it will be stuck in the holder forever is moot.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll try that tonight. Can't wait to get my MKII up and running. Just brought it home yesterday but haven't been able to play it yet!

So I got it glued back together and soldered a jumper wire across the broken bridges. I got my picture back but it's still shifted to the left. The horizontal position knob still seems to not work. Is there any other way to adjust the screen to move the picture over to the right?
Also the color is faded in the bottom right corner. Does anyone know of any type of maintenance I can do to correct this a bit?

you might have a crack in the pot... the white flat part at the bottom is made from ceramic, it can crack quite easily if smushed. check it over. otherwise does it shift the screen at all when turned?
try putting up some solid full screen colors if you can and see if that faded spot has some shift in color. You might just need to de-magnetize the screen.

So is the "pot" on the monitor or the little board that I fixed? No, it has absolutely no effect on the screen when turned. I'll try and order a degaussing coil from ebay or something to get the color issue fixed.

the twisty thing is called a potentiometer...or pot for short.
it is comprised of a small plastic knob that turns a metal wiper that contacts a track that is printed on the base. metal legs that mount into the board provide electrical connection.
the base part in these tiny pots is made from a wafer of white ceramic. it is pretty strong for the most part but can be broken. if it gets broken, the electrical track printed on it no longer provides an electrical path. this is why it's acting dead when you turn it.
