Title: Magnetic shield for speakers?
Post by: IronBuddha on July 09, 2012, 12:15:12 pm
The monitor on my mame cabinet has the purplish coloring on the top because the speakers are a few inches in front of it. Is there some sort of magnetic shield wrapping or anything I can do to stop this? In case if it might help it's a 21in Sony computer crt monitor.

head on over to the dollar store and find some metal (magnetic) cups/bowls what have you, and just stick them like a cover over the magnets on the back. if you can't find one the right size that the magnet will keep on by itself, just use a dab of hot glue or something. just as long as the magnet is covered, the metal will keep the field down.
