I have a dedicated Galaga that I recently purchased and have been doing some work trying to get it to play like 1983 all over again and things are going well except that the game plays with a heavy yellow tint. When I turn up the blue drive the tint goes away and the colors look about right except now the blue is smeared badly. I've been reading post on this site and its seems the consensus is to start with a cap kit and I don't think that will fix the problem (but I bought one anyway). Neck board transistors maybe, but I figure that the monitor is almost 30 years old and has given all it can give and yellow tint is what I have to play with. The monitor is a Wells-Gardner 19K4906. If anyone has any suggestions on something that I may have overlooked give me a post.

hi
ya at 30 she has given all u are gonna get
u could swap the tube for a newer 1
from the sound's of it u are over driving a gun or 2 anyway
the short would be to try to rejuv the tube
but that will olny hold for xx long
recap and find a 19" tube

Yeah I was kind of figuring that. Thanks.

Where are you located? I'd be willing to try and bring the tube back to life for free with my Calibrated Sencore CR-7000.
