Title: KOF2000 Huge Load times - Please Help configure

Any way round the long load times for big games when running DOS 7,  Advance Mame on a Duron 950 with 256Mb ram, Soundblaster PCI 128 soundcard.

Is the PCI card the cause of the problem ? or is there a way round this by software settings etc.

Everything I have tried works great.

How long is long?

kof2000 is a 80megs zip!!!!  Mame unzips and loads the entire rom into memory first.  One, you better have 80 megs free!  Two, that will take abit of time to do!

Is your HD 5400 rpm or 7200
