Just so you know, my plans for making an arcade cabinet(both miniature and an average sized cabinet). Have been canceled. Instead, I'd like to build/modify fighting sticks for use on MAME and game consoles. My first plan though, is to buy a ZD Rematch encoder, so that way I can have Japanese-style controls. My next plan after that is to modify an old X-Arcade Solo Joystick, and upgrade it with new parts(Both arcade controls and use X-Arcade's upgrade kit). My plans for modifying an X-Arcade Solo Joystick is the following:
-To replace the Joystick with the GGG Smooth Stick.
-To replace the buttons with Groovy Game Gear's Competition Convex push buttons.
Is this possible, and would it all work together alright?

no need to upgrade the encoder xarcade's is fine and the GGG sticks and buttons will fit 100%! Where are you putting in Japenese sticks and why do u need ZD Rematch encoder. Those stick can fit in the x arcade as well.

Thank you, mytymaus. :)
1). I'll be inserting the Japanese sticks(JLF's) into the ZD Rematch encoder, I'll also be building a wooden shell around it(and sand off the corners of the wooden shell).
2). I'd like to not only support the BYOAC Community, but also the ZD Rematch encoder looks like a great product for the Sanwa JLF and the Sanwa OBSF push buttons. I read elsewhere that the Sanwa JLF can't fit in the X-Arcade Solo joystick. Is that true?

Any other answers/opinions to this dilemma would be most appreciated.

Thanks again, mytymaus007. Now I know what to get when I modify my X-Arcade Solo Joystick. Badmouth's thread(along with the other people that posted in the thread as well) explained things very well.
