Title: Any Cockpit Ideas?

For my next (3rd) project I'm considering building a cockpit arcade "cabinet."  A few years ago I had a Sinistar cockpit. Very cool design.  There's also other examples that could be constructed such as a Star Wars or Turbo style.  I know I'd modify the original dimensions to fit a 27" horizontal.

Aside from that, I'm not having any success in locating design plans.  Has anybody stepped into this area before, or does anybody know the location of some design plans?

Sure! I made one. The worlds first MAME cockpit! Goto http://www.planetjay.com click on "Arcade" and then on any of the cockpit links. You should atleast look at the "Cabinet (Last Pictures)".  ;)

Also I saw someone MAMEd a StarTrek Cockpit somewhere....
