Nitronic Rush: Commander Update (#4) Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbM8f5W14Yw#ws)
Found this on reddit, thought I'd share http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/vcdn0/nitronic_rush_a_remake_of_the_turbo_tunnel_from/ (http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/vcdn0/nitronic_rush_a_remake_of_the_turbo_tunnel_from/)
I played it for a short while on the keyboard. There are some special keys that might make it a little difficult to translate. I'd like to hear from others what they think overall of the game.

Looks pretty awesome to me. No driving cab tho. May need to start remedying that.

I'll try to find time to install it this weekend. Logitech profiler, xpadder, or autohotkey should be able to post anything as keys...as long as the controls are analogue, it should work.

Reminds me of that old game MegaRace. Cool Tron art style!
-
Oh. Hell. Yes.
Looks like Trackmania on some Tron flavored acid! If I can get to it this weekend, I'll set it up on my g27 wheel and post my findings.

Works great with a logitech xbox compatible controller, though the controls can be a bit twitchy. But I suspect pretty much all driving games can be twitchy using a standard game controller. A wheel should be quite a bit better.
Also,it picked up on the controller and worked right out of the box, no playing with settings at all.

That game looks awesome. I'm working on a monitor swap in my driving cab right now and as soon as I fire it up I'm going to try playing this.

Ok so I've spent about an hour tinkering with it this morning, and it is DEFINITELY fun with the g27 wheel!
I've got to mess around with the steering sensitivity a bit, but I've got all driving functions running quite well between a combination of the Logitech Profiler and the xbox360 controller emulator program I found here: http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/ (http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/)
For some reason configuring the right stick in x360ce doesn't seem to work (looks like a known issue?) so I kludged the keyboard commands for pitch/roll into the Profiler (since they're not based on analog axes anyway) and they work fine. Lucky that the Profiler and x360ce can run concurrently without issue...
Currently, I've mapped the roll controls to the paddle shifters. Pitch (front/backflip), boost, jump and wings to the remaining face buttons on the wheel -- though I'm thinking pitch might be better served on the shifter module, since that's otherwise not used...
What a nice change of pace! Great addition to any racing cab, I should think. And big huge kudos to the kids at Digipen for doing it from scratch!

Anybody else look at this and immediately think, I need to hook pedals up to my SW yoke? Seems like this would be a good controller setup for this game. Thoughts?

I thought that too! It would be cool to have a hat switch in place of the left thumb switch. I also thought about using a shifter with the thumb button for boost & forward/reverse.
