Title: Mame INP recording question

Hi All,

Does anyone know if Mame stops recording when pause is used or if there is an upper limit to the recording time. I was playing
Robotron on difficulty 10 and rolled the score. When I played the recorded inp file, the score stops at about 831,000 points.  :'(

The file size ended up as 4,026 KB which looks small seeing the game must have lasted about 2 hours.

Any ideas?

Not sure which version you're using, but I know on the Wolfmame versions, the pause button is disabled when you're recording. There shouldn't be any upper limit (well, maybe if you run out of hard drive space). The top score for one of the Nibbler versions over at MARP took 25 hours using Wolfmame 106.

Thanks for the info CrazyKongFan.

I did some experimenting and it looks as though the pause in mame .145 throws off the recording every time I tried it.

I'll have to find larger blocks of free time.
