Title: Woodworker - San Antonio Area
Post by: csnow on June 13, 2012, 08:34:36 am
I would like to make a new CP for my Soul Calibur machine.  I am not a big woodworker, so buying a router and table is not cost effective for this project.  Is there anyone around that can help me with this project for cash, beer, food, or any combo of the three?

Chris

normally communities have wood shops that you can rent time at or pay a monthly fee and use the shop tools. i would check into those options as well..

I've got a few tools but not a whole lot of work area.  You'd be on your own with my router.  I usually just close my eyes and pray that I don't hurt myself when I use it.

 :dunno

I can try to do it with your router.  I have no experience with woodworking tools except for the occasional circular saw cut.  What is sad, is that I work with routers everyday, too bad they are the Cisco and Juniper variety  :laugh2:

Well, I wont be able to buy a router due to my wife just lost her job yesterday.  Having to cover two houses and the associated bills are going to take its toll.  In fact, I am heading to Florida on Sunday to get that house on the market to rent  :dizzy:

Yeah, we are hopeful that she will find work quickly.  We both worked for the same company, a microwave telecom manufacturer.  I am the network and security manager for the company, and she was a product line manager   The company has been struggling and she was part of a downsizing.  Her background is QA and manufacturing with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.  My job is safe but I will probably leave now that they let her go.  I will probably go to Cisco or Juniper.

Thanks Jim.
