There was a Sonic Arcade Game. It had a track ball and robotnik threw obstacles at ya. I played it on MAME ands pretty good. I started a page to try to bring it to the PSN so I can play it on the PS3. http://www.facebook.com/SEGASonicArcade please share.

Unless there's a trackball peripheral for the PS3 I don't know about (and if there was, no one's buying it - much like the PS1 trackball), it hardly seems worth it...

Why wouldn't they be able to map it an analog stick???

Maybe I need to play it again but from what I remembered, it was like Marble Madness in that you were perpetually rolling the ball. Seems like it wouldn't be the same with just analog stick control. :dunno

No, it's not like marble madness. You run using the trackball. I'm going to connect a dual shock 3 sometime soon and try to get it to play with that. It reminds me a lot of Sonic 3D Blast for the Genesis/Saturn

If you want Sega to actually listen to your FB page, you probably shouldn't post stuff like "What the hell is this?! I feel lied to... "

Yeah I was to about to say "Sonic Arcade Game - Trackball = Sonic 3D Blast" which was kind of underwhelming. But I dunno, I'll try to fire it up tonight and see what it's about since the last time I played was years ago...
EDIT: Played it (with TB) and yes, it does share a bit in common with Marble Madness. You are controlling Sonic on a track of obstacles - no real enemies to defeat, pseudo time limit (i.e. whatever's chasing you). It's an interesting enough game but I don't know if I'd actually spend money if it were on PSN. And I think it needs a trackball. But that's just me.
