On my previous cab builds, I have used a trackball interfaced to an opti-pac and mouse buttons, so I never had to worry about doing things without a mouse.
I'm working on a new machine, a bartop MAME cab that will have no mouse. I'm running ArcadeOS (i'm going to stay with this emulator for this project, since the 320x240 option for my 9" screen is perfect, I know this is already built in to MAMEWAH, probably others), and can drop it in to the startup to load the FE automatically. But, how to shut the computer off?
I know some here have already figured this out. Is there a utility I can map a macro to (i.e. joy down and button 2), or do I built a batch file into the startup menu, that executes after ArcadeOS is quit.
Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Mamewah can shut down the PC when you exit it. you can choose to "quit to windows", "quit and shutdown", and "quit and reboot" if I recall correctly.

From my original post.
"I know this is already built in to MAMEWAH, probably others"
I know its in Mamewah, problem is for this project I need to use ArcadeOS (for a variety of reasons).
Thanks though...

If you look in the "Downloads" section of this website (BYOAC) you will find one or more utilities that allow you to control the mouse using the keyboard and/or a joystick.

if you are using arcadeos, then why not just run DOS?
Option 2 (the way I shut down the Artic Mini).
Stick a Windows Key somewhere out of the way (back of cab maybe). This of course only works if your control panel can generate up and enter.
Press the hidden windows key.
press up once.
press enter twice.
Bam, cab is shut down.
Option 3
My Amazing Maze has this, although I just shut down with Mamewah.
Get a USB Power Point remote control. Mine was $50 and has mouse functions and pageup/pagedown buttons.
