Title: P22N10L replacement?
Post by: lilshawn on May 30, 2012, 04:37:55 pm
what's a good replacement for a P22N10L coil driver trasistor?

Ive tried IRL540N's that iv'e ordered from great plains electronics and sometimes they work fine, other times they work a few times (6-10 and then go open) sometimes I don't even get once, they just smoke up as soon as power is applied to them.

I'm not buying cheap Chinese ebay crap or anything...course i don't know where they are getting them from...but i'm not having great luck with them.

EDIT: fat fingers and making spleling misteaks

Ya I pretty much found the same thing...They should be more than ample.

Well, maybe I just got a bad batch of transistors. I'll try these ones again next one that breaks, if I still have issues with them, I'll call up GPE.

When you replace the mosfet transistor, be sure to also replace the diode on the coil being driven by that transistor.

yeah I do that for sure...it's a 2 cent part so I do it anyways irrespective if it's still good or not.
