hi,
I actually thought my (dedicated) WWF Wrestlemania CPO is in good shape and undamaged... (see attachment)
As i tried to clean dust and grime beneath the lexan, i immediately wiped off whole portions of the artwork :banghead:
(used only window cleaner, soft cloth, nothing aggressive, water only same result)
Seems it just desintegrated over the years..
So far as i know there are no repro-CPO's available, any tips?
Any scans available? Nothing found so far..
as always, thanks guys

If you will scan it, I would make a digital restoration and send you a printed copy with protecive gloss or mate laminated. I´m an arcade artist. ;)
This is my mail: midasororey@yahoo.es

Hi Mikonos,
Alright, I'll scan the leftovers!
I also have a sticker set that came with the WWF Kit package for conversion cabs (got that from e*bay).
Maybe we could use elements of it in the CPO design.
I'll post the scans tomorrow!
Would be great to preserve this beauty in its original design :applaud:

Alright, i made a CPO scan of the leftovers, measured the CPO and button holes, stiched it together and made a photoshop .psd-template (400mb).. (first pic is a resized jpg export of it)
Also scanned the marquee and used the WWF logo for the CPO (psd layer)
Second pic is a reference to the original CPO artwork
@Mikonos: sent you a mail!
stay tuned guys!

Awesome! Looks like you have a better chance at getting this CPO restored than I do. Can't wait to see how it all turns out.
-
yeah, i hope in the end we'll get a perfect replacement CPO

hi guys,
i'm currently working on a repro of my CPO, looks good so far! WIP version in the attachment..
i used scans of the kit stickers i got from ebay (p1/p2 start, wwf logo), scanned a NOS marquee for the "wrestlemania"-logo, used parts from CPO scans of a fellow member here (thanks MK3FAN) for the joystick-surrounding and entirely drawed a new button surrounding with a (nearly dead on) rust-texture underneath..
TODO:
- get a scan of the big CPO-sticker (the one without moves or text) -> this would be the background of the CPO
- refine the texture beneath move instructions
- redraw/rewrite the instructions + midway part# on the CPO with the correct font
- testprint for alignment of the holes

Looks great, good reproduction so far, im cleaning up the other files you posted

Well, after $295 worth of Photoshop labor (don't care, I had the cash and it was worth it), here is the finished product. Here is before...

...and here is the 300dpi .TIFF for those who want it. Thanks for waiting and feel free to offer opinions on how it turned out.

I have two copies being printed as we speak and when I get one installed over the original CPO, I'll post how it looks.

AWESOME!!!! :notworthy:
Great work MK3FAN and whoever worked on this in the shop
A small detail is missing:
the midway part# in the lower right corner (or is this because of legal stuff?)
I added this in the tiff and sent you a link, if you want it in..

Fantastic work mate!!
-
Were sideart scans ever done & made available for this?
-
No. I can do that, but it would take a while.
-
I would be inerested in the sideart too if it is the full length undertaker one.
-
Does anyone still have the assets? all the links are down. Would really appreciate it, need to restore mine
Thanks!
